Forts in Maharashtra Top View Pictures
Most of the forts in Maharashtra whether up in the hills or near the seas are related with Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj –the great Maratha warrior and an equally great fort builder. It's believed that he developed as many as thirteen forts. There are about 350 forts in Maharashtra, the north western state of India, which are said to be the glory of Maharashtra. Many of them were treated as mini-cities and later got converted in hill stations. Nowhere in India would we find such extravagant forts.
